Through My Own Eyes: a YAYW8 / Arnolfini Gallery Commission (40 mins)

I have completed an inter-generational film-making project exploring themes of autobiography, aging and identity. Four individuals (3 teenagers and 1 senior citizen) were invited to explore how they would like to represent themselves and their own life through film.

This project was co-commissioned by the Arnolfini Gallery and Bristol based art platform You and Your Work 8 Festival and was produced between September - November 2010. The resulting film Through My Own Eyes was screened at the Arnolfini Gallery on 13 November 2010. Keep an eye on my website for details of future screenings.

First Email - a Fierce Commission: WATCH NOW

I worked as lead artist facilitator on an inter-generational community art project called First Email, taking place in Birmingham from February 2010. The aim of the project was for primary school children to teach senior citizens how to send their first email. Conceived by Artistic Directors of the contemporary art festival, Firece: Harun Morrison and Laura McDermott, in partnership with Brightspace (Creative Partnerships Birmingham). The project was a pilot and will hopefully continue to grow as more schools and communities are invited to take part. I have been working in collaboration with innovative design agency Abåke. First Email
